The Iranian regime recently arrested a number of South Azerbaijani human rights and environmental activists.
Murtuza Nurmahammadi, Ali Babayi, Peyman İbrahimi, Huseyn Azadi, Amirhuseyn Aqayi, Mehrdad Ghadiri, Davud Shiri, Ashkan Saadat Mehr, Araz İbrahimnejad, Mammadrza Muvahhid and Cavad Sudbar are some of the activists arbitrary arrested by the Iranian security forces. Additionally, there are many other South Azerbaijani national movement activists who are being held whose identities are unknown at this point.
In these arbitrary and illegal arrests, the Iranian regime has demonstrated its powerlessness and cowardice toward South Azerbaijani national and civil activists.
As the SARP human rights department, we condemn the oppression, torture, illegal arrests, so-called trials, unproven crimes against South Azerbaijani Human rights and enviromental activists and demand the unconditional release of all arrested activists.
As SARP(ACP), we appeal to the democratic states and international human rights organizations to support true voice of South Azerbaijan’s heard and to respect the national will and wishes of the oppressed non- Persian nations in Iran at the international level.
