The policy pursued by the Republic of Azerbaijan in the direction of restoration of its territorial integrity and the rule of peace and justice in the region is carefully followed and supported by Azerbaijanis living in the South of Azerbaijan.
However, as it is already known, Iran’s chauvinist regime, cloaked in the so-called Islamic veil, is trying with all its might to obstruct and destabilize the region again.
It is clear to everyone that Iran’s main concern is not the Zangazur Corridor or Armenia, but rather the existence of the 30 million South Azerbaijani Turks under its occupation, their desire for independence and integrity of the South Azerbaijani Turks, and the parallel strengthening of the Azerbaijani state, and thus the systematization and strengthening of national ideology and thought in the whole of Azerbaijan.
We, as the Republicans of South Azerbaijan, are closely following the events and declare that the Republicans of South Azerbaijan will not remain silent against any provocative activities against the Azerbaijani statehood and its independent policies, against the national interests and national security of the Azerbaijani Turks. In such a case, our front line will be not Zangazur but Isfahan and Tehran.
