The Iranian regime recently arrested a number of Azerbaijani human rights and environmental activists.

Taher Nagavi, Morteza Parvin, Ayaz Seyfkhah,Araz Aman, Abdolaziz Azimi Ghadim,Ali Razizadeh,Armita Parvir, Bagher Hajizad, and are some of the activists arbitrary arrested by the Iranian security forces.

Additionally, there are many other South Azerbaijani national movement activists who are being held whose identities are unknown at this point.

In these arbitrary and illegal arrests, the Iranian regime has demonstrated its powerlessness and cowardice toward South Azerbaijani civil activists.

As the SARP we condemn the oppression, torture, illegal arrests, so-called trials, unproven crimes against Azerbaijani Human rights and enviromental activists and demand the unconditional release of all arrested activists.

As SARP we appeal to the democratic states and international human rights organizations to support true voice of Azerbaijan’s  heard and to respect the national will and wishes of the oppressed non-Persian nations in Iran at the international level.
